Surf Show and Shine 2021 Saturday 2nd October Kombi Konvoy Sunday 3rd October Surf Show and Shine Show - Different plan for different timesThe club has decided (Covid permitting) to put on the Surf Show and Shine in the school holidays albeit a different version at the Alex SLSC car park and surrounding grounds. This will be the 6th show the club has put on and in that time had a load of fun, and brought some smiles to the community and our amazing beneficieries who do so much for the Sunshine folks who are "doing it tough" all year round. So we'll be getting busy with the the help of Deano from Cricks Volkswagen and our supporters with permitting, registrations, stakeholders, Kombi's, musicians, and trying to turn this years version into a show to remember albeit in a much smaller location. Big thanks to those who have helped out with the raffle prizes, musicians, artists, and event and traffic organising. East Coast Traffic have been amazing..BIG shout out to Ian aka "Smurf" apparently.
A special thank you to local well known artist Owen Cavanagh who has given up a chunk of his busy schedule to help put together the arts displays on Sunday morning and also to Kevin Annetts who has stepped in with the Malibu Board riders to see if they can take up a few gazebo's while the NSBR are up north. This is what the site plan mud map looks like.. A certain scribe has been in touch with the Kombi's and vendors and feedback has been amazing. Everyone looking forward to having a great time at the beach car park at Alex and doing a bit of community fundraising. And not forgetting the amazing Saturday night Kombi parade up and down the Sunshine Coast. We're aiming for 100 Kombi's in convoy (who-hoo), chaperoned by our mates from Cricks Volkswagen and guaranteed to bring a smile to the faces of everyone en route. Don't forget your camera's! |
