Access to Surf Show and Shine
It is best to approach the event site from Alexandra Headland or Buderim Road. Approaching Mooloolaba from the south will be tricky.
Mooloolaba traffic is in chaos as Brisbane Road has been dug up and detours are in place.
If you are approaching from Buderim Road or Alex Headland, simply take the traffic lane nearest the beach as you come down the Alex / Mooloolaba hill, and as you enter Mooloolaba Beach on the left, the first sharp turn on the left after the traffic light will take you into the car park.
Marshalls will meet you at the car park entrance and they will have your registered details and your site allocation. You will be escorted to your allocated site.
If you are approaching Sunshine Coast from the from the South, then the Brisbane Road detour will take you to the Alexandra Headland Hill. As you go up the hill take the U -turn at the traffic lights half way up the hill and then the beachside lane as you come down the hill and to Mooloolaba Beach, and hard left into the car park as above.
Overflow vendors and volunteers parking
If you have additional vehicles, we have parking for volunteers and vendors at Moololaba school. This car park is not open to the public. Marshalls will meet you at the entrance to the car park opposite Coles in Walan Street, and allow you in to the school car park if you are known to the organisers.
We're delighted to let you know that Mooloolaba State School have Kindly offered Kombi sites at their car park opposite Coles in Mooloolaba. The amazing folks there have also offered use of their amenities block to overnight Kampers.
If you wish to take up this offer, be sure to let our Rotary team know at
Also the school car park will be overflow parking for the event, for Vendors and Kombi's, so look out for our parking volunteers who will be making sure that you will be close to the action.
Mobile Toilet facilities will be on site, as the permanent amenities have been closed up ready for Council renovations to start. Alternatively the nearest amenities are at "Loo with a view" or Coles shopping center, both about 500 metres away.
Saturday Night Kombi Parade
This year, we are going to attempt the largest Kombi parade ever held on the Sunshine Coast.
Every year we have about 100 beautiful Kombi's on show at our Surf Show and Shin day, .and this year we're going to take them around Mooloolaba, Cotton Tree and Alex Headland to show off these beauties to the coffee set on Saturday night.
Our Amazing Kombi's and Surfboards
North Coast Board Riders - Fabulous Surfboards

North Shore Boardriders is one of the longest running board riding clubs in Australia, having been founded in the late 60′s by a group of Redcliffe surfers. Members at that stage made the trip on weekends to camp and surf at North Coast beaches – thus the club name.

Today, North Shore Boardriders boasts over 100 members ranging from grommets to veterans, participating in various club days on the Sunshine Coast, and numerous state wide competitions across the year.
